WomensWiki is an open-source online encyclopedia about and for women. It is intended to serve as a hub of resources for all content related to Radical Feminism and other female-centric topics.
WomensWiki has two main goals:
- Provide clear and concise explanations of Radical Feminist theory and terminology.
- Address the long-overlooked issue of the lack of discoverability of feminist resources.
Radfem resources are usually hard-to-procure and are spread out, by virtue of being written by many different hands across many different sites—some of which are now defunct.
This wiki is not intended to be a discussion board or forum. For more information on active feminist forums, visit the Online Communities page.
As a disclaimer: WomensWiki is specifically about and for women, the meaning of which is as according to the dictionary definition:
Woman
ˈwo͝omən/
an adult female human being.
Organization
The wiki consists of articles organized via a loosely-structured tagging system. Below is a separate, hierarchical list of the most common categories (or tags) that articles fall into, for ease of reference.
Some of the below articles will seem like they belong in more than one category. This is by design, but it has been shrunken down here as a general recommendation for beginners.
Note: The site is still under construction, with many articles still in the process of being written.
